New Blog!

Hello everyone, it's Drake. James can't do his weekly conspiracy paper, he's a bit busy. So today, I'll be handling the Saturday post.

In my last post, I lightly touched on us having a new blog on tumblr.com. Then, we hadn't even made it yet, but now its up and running, and has its first post. To go subscribe to the post, click here. On the blog, we answer any questions you leave, and make then normal Thursday upload posts and Saturday conspiracy posts (if James remembers to post one.)

Sorry for that comment about your Alzheimers James up above. Though, theres this really cool feature of Tumblr that makes it a lot easier to make posts on a schedule! You can actually enter dates to post blog posts! So we probably won't go off schedule anymore, or forget to post any blog posts. The posts you read on there are probably written weeks in advance! MWAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!

This is our last post on lightningbears.blogspot.com. We hope to see you at our Tumblr Page (linked above), as we are never posting again on this blog. Ever. Subscribe to our Tumblr to get notifications whenever we make a new post!

JaDS 23+ Moving to Tumblr

Hello Everyone! I just uploaded JaDS 23 (James and Drake Show) here. We add a new section of the show, called "Walk along with James!" Which consists of James running around the classroom singing theme songs and bashing people with the camera. All together, pretty hilarious.

So, as you can see by the title, we're switching to Tumblr. We're not doing it right away, we want to ease into it a little bit. James will post one last conspiracy paper, then we'll switch. His Saturday post will include a link to our new blog.

Yeah, I know we're switching around really quickly, not giving you guys time to get used to consistency. Just know that the schedule for posts won't change, just where we're posting them. I will still upload and write upload posts on Thursday, and James will still right conspiracy papers on Saturday. But anyway, who uses Blogger, anyway?

Ok, well enjoy the new JaDS 23 episode (featuring another suprise ambush from me) and get used to our Tumblr page, because I promise we won't switch anything around after that. For real this time. See you everyone.

James actually remembers to post something? [1st Conspiracy Paper]

Why yes he did

Hello!

Hello readers and viewers alike, I have actually remembered to do my job and make a post today! See, the new schedule is already working out fine.

So, as promised, I will post one of my conspiracy papers up on the website. This one is about the Cthulu.

The Cthulu

** NOTE **

All views written in this paper are completely false. Please do everything mentioned do NOT do anything mentioned.

What is the Cthulu? The Cthulu is a gigantic creature of almost mythical proportion. Legend says it's mortal body lives within the depths of the Pacific Ocean, far off the coast of America. In H.P. Lovecraft's work, he described the Cthulu to be a creature of Godlike status; the Cthulu had minions that were aliens that used Humans as it's slaves to prepare for the worlds destruction. Sadly, Lovecraft had no idea how right he really was. This beast uses human slaves, aliens, and our dreams to control us, lulling is into a false feeling of safety and security, when actually our world is being prepared to be devoured. And soon.

The Cthulu originally existed as a God for many religions, often more of an evil god than anything else, though. A God nevertheless, and a force to be reckoned with. Many people gave sacrifices (human sacrifices, no less) to this beast in order for protection and safety from it's mighty wrath. There are cults and tribes based off of this creature; these people are either A) controlled, as earlier mentioned, or B) they know the truth of what's going to happen.

Contrary to popular belief, this beast actually does exist, and lives on to this very day. Often times have we come across it's children and minions, and not even known it. We call it's children octopus, and never did we realize that these beasts do not belong to this world. These creatures are sent here, scouting out this world, in preparation for the, "Resurrection," (more details later.)

Electronics and technology in general have emerged form this mighty beast. He has subdued, seduced, and controlled many men in order to make his presence secret, and to ensure that once the ritual is finished Earth will be plump and ready for devouring. He will eat Earth, and then continue through space on to the next planet. (Don't believe me? Look at Mars; the planet has signs that life could've been there, because life was once there. The Cthulu has taken that planet, and sucked it dry.)

There is no way we can stop this. Maybe if we were ready earlier (about 4,000 years earlier) then we'd have a chance, but the ritual has gone on for too long that it will finish with or without our participation. Already, you can probably see the pollution and destruction in the air. The news is talking about aliens now (you can see the proof here), and more and more prophecies of the Earth ending are coming up. His children are here, his slaves (can be seen here, here, and here.) and followers are ready, and there's nothing the free can do. There was a movie that had a similar idea to this; this movie was created in order to warn us. You can see the scene that applies most here.

As said before, there is no way we can stop him. Instead, we must embrace this magnificent and beautiful thing. Those who trust and believe in him shall be transported to a dimension at the, "Resurrection"; a dimension quite similar to our own. They will live out their lives in this dimension as God's.

In conclusion, I highly believe that you, as the reader, should begin to believe in this creature. You should drop everything you're doing and begin to offer sacrifices and gifts. You should begin to hold him higher than all others, and in return you shall have a seat in the promise land. The Cthulu is coming. Soon. Soon.

End

So that's the end of the first Conspiracy paper. If you like it, comment on it, if not, tell me what I did wrong. Either way, it might be a thing for us. I've got a few other papers already written, and even more ideas.

This concludes my post, have a nice day.

JaDS 22

Hey Everyone!

Episode 22 of JaDS (James and Drake Show) came out today! This one was one of my favorites so far, mostly because of the part where I (SPOILERS) tackled the camera from James. My run towards him was classic. (END OF SPOILER) If you want to see the video, click here.

Also, I fired Jack as our cameraman, mostly because he doesn't go to our school, so he won't be available. Keasia is the new camerawoman! I hope she does good, otherwise SHE DIES! Just kidding, I don't murder people. I EAT THEM!

Hopefully, the next episode of the JaDS will be at James' basement, where Jack is present, and can film for us. There will also be Parker, and Erin (if you remember him from any of my old vlogs, if you came from DakireProductions.) We're doing another RPG, and we're inviting Erin to the game. Also, the Rapture is happening Saturday! (If you believe in it) So the team will be together at James' house during the whatever (I have no idea what's supposed to happen, it's hogwash in my opinion.) Ok, enjoy our new episode!(EDIT: The gathering in James' basement was actually canceled, so our next is episode is in the Spanish Room, like usual.

CONSPIRACY! (Sneak Peak)

Do you have a conspiracy that you want made into an official paper? Comment below!

INTRO

Hm... Why did I do that? Not so sure. Gonna roll with it though.

Anywho, it appears that I haven't been up to schedule. I apologize to all of you readers that had to suffer through their lack of daily James (I know, it's terrible, right?)

So, this is a short post. It's more of a sneak peak as to whats to come, and a change in the schedule. Posts from James will be changed to Saturday's (if you haven't seen the other post that notify's you about that), and there will be a new feature coming in (in replacement for Brightside review.) It will be a written conspiracy paper!

These conspiracy papers will be about ANYTHING ridiculous, and it will be made to look serious (almost serious enough to publish.) This coming Friday will be the start for the post change and conspiracy paper. That's all I'm really gonna say right now, so until Saturday friends.

JaDS 21+Saturday Post

So, as everyone knows, we do a weekly Saturday post (it was supposed to be Wednesday, but of course James forgot, and Saturdays are more convenient) and I also forgot to do an upload post (I was running out of my house when I uploaded the new episode). So, I'm going to cover the Saturday post and the upload post.

You've probably guessed by the title that episode 21 of the James and Drake Show has been uploaded. If you didn't guess, they're uploaded every Thursday on our channel. So, to see our 21st episode (if it were in years, our series can drink alcohol) click here. We were on the bus going to the Henry Ford Museum, in Dearborn, Michigan. As you'll see in the video.

To explain James' absence, he's at a cousin's wedding. He won't be home for a while, so I just decided to take things into my own hands and make it easier to just make one for him.

One last thing, I've been watching a lot of movies in the last few days, and I've decided to do a mine Brightside review, though we won't have one for a week. I say mini, because I'm not going into detail. I have watched Dawn of the Dead (1978) , Dawn of the Dead (2004) , and Shaun of the Dead (2004) , a parody of the first two. They are all zombie movies, and written fairly well. The first is the original of the second, and the third is a comedy parody of the others. The Dawn's are more of a thriller, and Shaun of the Dead is a very funny English comedy, parodying the first two. I suggest watching all three, if your a fan of Zombie Apocalypse movies.

I'm gonna call it a post there, so see you next time on Thursday, May 19th.

James and Drake Show (Episode 20)

Hey all,

To think we have gotten to episode 20! In this one, I showcased a Knife/comb, drank some chlorine'y Kool Aid type mixture Sydney had (probably drugs), and Parker somehow cut himself with my "Comb".

So if you wanna see episode 20 of the James and Drake Show, titled "Chlorine Kool Aid!", click here. This episode wasn't half-bad, though it only showcased my face, and like 20 seconds total of James. Look forward to episode 21, coming up next Thursday, May 12th.

Brightside Review 3.0

Hello readers, viewers, or whatever you want to be called.

Problems and Solutions

It's been a while, eh? Sorry about the late post, I was caught up in some things Wednesday (obviously the mafia) and I couldn't write the regular post. So I'm doing it on Saturday. This is just a one time thing, by next Wednesday we should be back on our regular schedule.

Anyway, continuing on, this week was time for the next Brightside review (I think...?) Anyway, racking my mind for something that I could possibly review, I have decided to review a little game called City of Heroes

CoH

This game has one of the best creation processes in any MMORPG I've ever seen. You have control of most of the details, and rarely do you see two character the same (Generic characters you do see often, but those who put a little effort will stand out from the rest of the crowd no matter what.) The game does have a lot of repetition in it with quests (they're referred to as 'missions' ingame) but nevertheless it's a nice, casual game.

The game also boasts the very first Super-Hero/Super-Villain MMORPG, and it does it well. It's diversity in Powers and Archetypes is something unheard of in any other MMORPG, and the enhancements are a nice replacement compared to gear. Overall, this game is quite well done.

JaDS

New JaDS if you haven't seen that post. This time, we're back in school compared to our last one where we were at a park playground.

Fin

Well, that wraps up the new post. Hope you all have a nice weekend, and hope you all had a nice Easter weekend as well. Goodbye, farewell, thanks for all the fish.

JaDS 19

Hey all,
I uploaded episode 19 of The James and Drake Show today. DISCLAIMER: It sucks. We had no ideas for the video, and we had only a few minutes to film because we had a test. END OF DISCLAIMER So anyway, Maddie is going to be in all of our videos from now on, as I said in this video. It's a new thing. I like making things. Sorry about the late video, I've been distracted playing Portal 2 and watching all of Eddie Izzard movies. Also, look forward to BrightSide review whenever the schedule is on Portal 2! My favorite achievement in the game: Title: The Part Where He kills you. Description: This is that part.

Watch the new James and Drake Show here.

Garden State

Hello readers!

Yes, we're back for another post ladies and gentleman! I decided that this post will be specific to Garden State, a beautiful movie directed and acted by Zach Braff (my favorite actor if no one knew.) In this movie Andrew (Zach Braff) returns home to his family after hearing that his mother had just drowned the night before. His home, which is in Garden State, is full of old, nostalgic people that Andrew get's to see again, though he appears not to be quite so ecstatic about revisiting the past. He also gets off the medicine he was on for nine years, telling the psychiatrist that he, "Doesn't feel like anything's wrong." The next few weeks he meets and gets to know this girl named Sam, and gets many new life lessons upon their getting to know each other.

I, personally, love this movie, but of course I like anything with Zach Braff in it. It has many life lessons, and is actually one of Zach's more, "serious," roles, something I didn't expect and enjoyed. He did a great job, and you should definitely check out his new movie, "The High Cost of Living," and his upcoming play, "All New People."

Anyway, another short post, but that could be considered my Brightside Review of the week. Thank you all, and I hope you have a good night/morning/whatever time it is for you.

P.S. New JaDS tomorrow!

Pickles

So, what did Peter Piper pick a peck of?

OBVIOUSLY PICKLES!

Sorry, that was quite childish. Anyway, welcome back to our Blog. Sorry for the late post, I'm losing my mind. Just like I'm losing my religion.

Heh, little side-gag there. Anyway, I didn't plan this out whatsoever, so I'll just talk about how Holland (Denmark) was.

Denmark was fun, everyone there is tall, blonde, perfect, and they have blue eyes. All of them.

ALL OF THEM

CONSPIRACY

They all also have extremely overpriced small things. Which is why I love America. Land of the, "Quantity over quality," and also land of the good Big-Macs. I missed Big-Macs.

JaDS

New JaDS episode out tonight! Check out episode 17, best one yet! (Just kidding, I wasn't in it enough. Obviously.)

Well, that's all I have to say now. Glad you were checking in, and for new readers it's always nice to check out my older posts (even though there's only 2?) Good night, and good luck.

Brightside Review 2: Minecraft

Minecraft Review

So James is in Denmark, and I have no idea of the schedules for Brightside Reviews, though I have a feeling we do them on Saturdays and Sundays. I would be on my way to Siesta Key then, so I'm just going to do it now before I leave. This Brightside Review will be reviewing the game, Minecraft.

So this game is pretty much as James said, Legos for adults. Though I don't like that description, which makes the game sound childish. One of my favorite reviews of the games is, and I quote, "This is a Sandbox game where you can build a giant sandbox, build a life size pyramid in that sandbox, tear the pyramid down with TNT, melt the sand into glass, rebuild the pyramid out of glass, blow it up with TNT, all while riding a pig." That pretty much sums up the game.

So I like to play this game in my free time, as it is fun, and it never gets old. It has two versions, Classic and Survival. The creator of minecraft, dubbed "Notch", states that he and his developing company, Mojang Specifications, may remove Classic Minecraft all together. The Classic version, which is completely free, is a freebuild type of game, where the player has unlimited types of blocks, such as dirt, sand, gravel, wood, all that basic stuff.

(Keep in mind, this game is a retro style First Person game, though the world is made out of blocks, though the graphics are pretty vivid still, despite the game being made up of squares, though 3D. If you want to try out the free version, go here.)

The survival version is much more fun, and is in its Beta testing phase. As of now, it is about 20$, and can only be purchased over the internet with a paypal, as there is no physical version of the game currently. This version is a randomly generated map, roughly 8 times the surface of the earth. It isn't all loaded at once, the farther the player goes, the larger the save file becomes of the game. In survival, you start with no resources, and have to gather wood, dirt, and any other resources from the blocks around you. You create tools from these resources, lowest class of tools being constructed of wood, and the highest of diamond. The game has day and night cycles, and at night, at hell breaks loose. Zombies, skeletons, giant spiders, and a nasty enemy called Creepers spawn in the dark. Creepers are particularly nasty, as they are completely silent, and explode if they get close enought to you. In the day, when the zombies and skeletons burn, the spiders are passive, and the creepers despawn eventually. If you want to see gameplay and tutorials of the game, I strongly suggest searching Minecraft Let's Play on Youtube. The game has really exploded lately, with over a million accounts in the last 6 months. THere is a wide range of tutorials and gameplay, from singleplayer to multiplayer.

The game is still in its testing phases, so the multiplayer is in a buggy stage, though it does exist. You have to know the specific IP address of the server your connecting too, in order to get on the server. Some server administrators create reservation list, known as whitelists. They only allow people on the list into the server.

Some players have created beautiful structures, other homely survival caves, and some have created renditions of Music, namely, Portal:Still Alive, one of the greatest songs of all time. The game has a block, called a noteblock, which depending on the surface it is placed on, can be tuned to play certain notes. There is a circuitry/electricity system, called redstone, which players use to power complicated machinery, or a music playing instrument. some players have set up a pressure pad system, where the pressure pads correspond with certain notes, to make a giant walk-along piano.

All in all, i suggest buying this game, as I haven't even gotten close to explaining the whole game, and it holds endless possibilites. When you think you have plenty of supplies to survive, you can move out of your house and start building decorational stuff, for example, right now I am working on building a castle. When your done building all of these things, you can start from scratch, and generate a new world. The game is very Mod-friendly, and has its own mod forum. I recently discovered a mod which adds new animals in the game, such as horses, that even including breeding to create new horses, like pegasus and unicorns. Sometimes, even a Pegasus/unicorn/packhorse! Once I got bored of that, I found another mod that added humans to the game, including factions, and even an AI, that once in a while yells something on the chat, such as "Taste my blade, Samurai!" or, "You are very unfortunate, Skeleton!" Pay the measly 20$, it's worth it.

Denmark

Welcome and thanks for visiting us!

So, yes, it's time for post 2 already. We'll start this off by reminding you that, once again, I'm heading to Denmark! Tonight, in fact.

So, in todays post, we inform you about JaDS episode 16, say a little bit about the history of Denmark, and we'll give you a little bit of the Teaser for the next, "Brightside Review," which Drake will be covering for me!

Phew, that was a lot of exclamation points. Anyway, time to start.

JaDS

Here's episode 15 of the JaDS, and episode 16 will be out tomorrow night. We're hoping you will enjoy the new theme song that we developed!

(Ok, to tell you the truth, it's not that great and we'll take suggestions if you have a song and want it to be on an internet show.)

Denmark History

Well, this segment is going to be long, so if to some it up for all of you TL;DR people, I'll just say, "Denmark has a lot of history and it's pretty dang awesome culturally. But it's small."

The word ‘Denmark’ dates back to the Viking age and is carved on the famous Jelling Stone from around 900 AD. Today though Denmark is very different from its historical past. Between the 13th and 17th centuries, Denmark was a superpower whose influence was as powerful as that of the largest European countries. Today, the current size and influence of Denmark is the result of 400 years of forced relinquishments of land, surrenders and lost battles. For a small country though, Denmark still punches above its weight in many different areas including design, architecture, farming, green technology and pharmaceuticals. [1]

Through out the entire history, Denmark was pretty social to the outside world, but by the beginning of the Viking age {c. 750 A.D.) the country really became part of the European history. The Danes became most notorious as the Vikings who plundered churches and monasteries, which is why it has a cultural advantage over a lot of European countries. Stealing things from churches gave it many expensive and priceless relics. Which is a reason that Denmark is the center for religious studies.

So, in conclusion of this two-paragraph report of the history of Denmark, the Danes are very renown for their knowledgeable and cultural ideas. I'd give you more, but I can't really sum it up without exactly stealing it from this website, and I'd rather not be a jerk and do such a thing, so here it is.

Teaser?

This isn't much of a teaser, but I felt like just letting you know, even though minecraft is pretty well known and everybody goes crazy for it, I want to do a review on it (and unlike my Denmark history, I'm not going to just steal everything.) To sum it up right now, it's this amazing game that's pretty much, quote on quote, "Lego's for adults."

So, I hope you all enjoyed today's post, and Drake will be your Author next week.

The Blog

Welcome to the blog

Hello and yes! Drake and I have developed a Blog to talk about our innermost feelings, embarrassing stories, and whatever we feel like on the internet! It's a nice way to get things out, it's cheaper than therapy, and other people get to enjoy my pain. Overall, this is gonna be awesome.

Now, yes, me and Drake have tried blogs before, and both of us failed epically, but together, maybe, just maybe, we can scrape together enough intelligence to maintain this one! We're hoping there's at least going to be a blog a week, and we're planning on the post to be on Wednesday nights. If not, they will be on Friday mornings (we run on Eastern time, just so you know.)

Teaser

I'm going to start by letting you in on a teaser. Me and Drake are planning to work together to develop a podcast with another fellow youtuber whom you may or may not know. Whether or not it will work out, we're not quite sure, but if it does ever happen, look on here for it.

JaDS news

Also, JaDS is now getting updated weekly again. We apologize for any delay that we caused, it's just with vacation and diseases and deaths (ok, maybe not deaths) we couldn't keep up with the show, but we're back to doing it every week.

Leave of Absence?

Another thing is that I, James, will be gone for a week. I'm gonna leave this country and explore the world, and then I will return to meager America. But, that means that Drake will have to cover for me on Posting to this, so expect that much.

Brightside Review (Sucker Punch)

And lastly, seeing as today is Sunday, I thought I'd do a weekly (and by weekly, I mean every two weeks) story/review thing. I find obscure/well known/well hated things on the internet, and look on the positive side of everything. I shall dub it- Brightside Review. Whether or not it will stick, I'm not quite sure.

If you've already seen the movie Sucker Punch, and absolutely was disgusted/hated it for lack of nudity, then you might as well wait another week for the next LB post, but otherwise here I go.

Sucker Punch's story (which isn't that great- in fact, if it weren't for the fighting, I wouldn't have stayed the whole movie) is based in the 1950's and follows a young girl (whose name is never disclosed, but the nickname "Babydoll" is given). Her step-father (who is shown to be either a rapist or an abuser, but either way is the antagonist of her reality), after (once again, we presume because nothing is shown) killing Babydoll's mother, discovers that Babydoll's mother didn't include him in the will. In his anger, he drank his heart out, and went after the two girls. He locked Babydoll after a failed attempt at rape, and went after her sister. Babydoll escapes her momentary prison, rushes for a gun, and shoots her stepfather. She misses (because obviously girls can't shoot- the only time she does it right is in her fantasy (just kidding, in no way am I sexist. Now go make me a sandwhich)) and hits her sister, who dies instantly. The cops arrive, take her away into a mental institution where the madness ensues.

Upon entering the institution, the real movie begins to start. She hears a psychologist telling her to, "free her mind," and in doing show she appears in a whore house. She, herself, is recruited as an Orphan; the owner of the mental institute is portrayed as the, "pimp," and the rest of the girls there are shown as dancers and prostitutes.

I can't go into more detail without ruining the movie for most (which I wouldn't mind doing, to tell you the truth) but overall the movie's plot was slightly lacking. Where it lacked, though, the music, special effects, and fight scenes all made it up. The fight scenes were something out of a DnD game gone mad, girls wielding guns twice their size, wearing clothes extremely tight (though there were, once again, no nude scenes or girl-on-girl action, which disappointed most. In my opinion, it wouldn't been that great; the actors were hot, but I didn't pay $8 for porn, I paid for mindless fighting.) So, I actually enjoyed the movie. In my words (after just watching the movie), "It was like having dopamine force fed on an IV while smoking weed and watching Ultraviolet. Except, it was better."

I'd give the movie 4/5, the stories lacking didn't hurt the movie as much as everyone claims, and the action scenes are definitely worth getting out of the house for.

This concludes the Brightside Review, and remember, "Always look on the Brightside of life."
